BTB (By The Book) Gor
Jasmine is a No OOC sim but despite that fact, it is the people who are good and decent OOC we seek. Anyone can learn Gor, RP and emoting - a good personality can however not be taught, it just is. Knowing that the person behind the avi who is treating you like dirt, hides a good person who is only a good RPer and whom you can laugh together with, makes the whole situation easier to swallow, but if your moral compass is all broken, Jasmine will not be for you.
We call Jasmine a BTB sim by the common expression on SL Gor, but you need to remember that such a thing as BTB Gor does not really exists. It is in fact an impossibility unless you only wish to RP the scenes from the books exactly as written, like on the theater with fixed manuscripts.
We do our best though, to be as close to the books as possible, using known laws, rules and standards/expectations of Gorean society. And when/if something occurs that are NOT covered by the books, common sense will be our guideline. Always remember that all are equal OOC, whether you play a simple pot slave, a baker or the Ubar himself. Most players have invested both a lot of time and effort as well as money to create their characters and therefore we do not allow them to be so easily 'killed' off just because you are a free and the victim a mere slave. OOC the roles might be reversed. Do not do onto others what you do not want done to you. But in the same time remember.. YOU will have to take the consequences of your own RP, so think twice, or you MIGHT find yourself dead after all. Anyone who willingly and knowingly launch a RP they later do not like the turn out of and therefore leave Jasmine or ''commit suicide'', either by their own hand or by forcing someone else's, to be able to 'start over' on a new character, WILL be banned from Jasmine. IF you make your bed, you must lay in it.
Know your role and respect the role you chose by RPing it accurately. You ultimately are the writer of your story and how in depth you want your RP to be is in your hands.
